Redefining Tropical Agriculture

Sequestering Carbon, Rebuilding Soil Health, & Unlocking Opportunity

The need for action…

Tropical Agriculture Research and Training Station (TARTS) is a non-profit organization (NGO), located in the East Region of Cameroon, dedicated to bringing fronteir regenerative agricultural practices to rural small-holder farmers.

The East has incredible cultural, ecological, and geogrpahic diversity. However, the primary economy is centered around logging, mining, and resource extraction. Most of the local subsistence farmers grow cocoa, tobacco, manioc, plantain, and coffee. Despite the large sums of aid money being spent every year to help local residents, the economic disparities persist and residents have seen very little of this extracted wealth.

We are focused on regenerative farming, permaculture, economic development, and finding sustainable solutions to our biggest problems.
